Welcome Aboard was the 17th episode of Season 5 of the The Brady Bunch TV series, also the 111th overall episode in the series. Written by Larry Rhine and Al Schwartz, the episode, which was directed by Richard Michaels, originally aired on ABC-TV on January 25, 1974.
Synopsis
Cousin Oliver comes to live with the Bradys. He immediately causes a series of accidents, which lead him to believe that he is a jinx.
Summary
Carol's nephew, Oliver (Robbie Rist), comes to live with the Bradys while his parents are in South America. He nearly wears out his welcome when he is involved in a series of minor accidents in his eagerness to help out. Oliver is convinced he is a jinx until his presence wins the family an award during a visit to a movie studio. Their prize is appearing in a 1920s-style slapstick movie.
Storyline
Carol's 8-year-old nephew, Oliver Martin, comes to live with the Bradys for awhile (since his family was going on an African archaeological dig and couldn't come along). Oliver wants to help out and be friends with his new family, but in trying too hard, he winds up causing a whole lot of accidents around the house. This leads the younger siblings to become convinced that Oliver is a jinx. A visit to a movie studio - where, because Oliver is the 1 millionth paying customer, they get to appear in a 1920s-style comedy movie as extras - helps him see otherwise.
